Randstad is proud to partner with a prominent Government Body to recruit for an experienced APS6 Organisational Design Officer. This is a pivotal role dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation through strategic workforce alignment.

Position Overview

  • Pay Rate: $ 60.26 + super
  • Location: Geelong
  • Contract Length:12 months plus extension
  • Reporting Line: Reports to the EL1 Organisational Design.
  • Working Conditions: hybrid

Role Responsibilities

As an APS6 Organisational Design Officer, you will lead projects that ensure the department’s structure supports its strategic objectives. Your duties will include:

  • Role Governance: Managing the development and maintenance of core role statements within the framework of job families.
  • Strategic Advice: Providing specialist guidance on workforce planning, broadbanding requests, and role evaluations.
  • Structural Assessment: Conducting organisational assessments to identify improvement areas and recommending structural changes.
  • Evaluation: Completing formal role evaluation assessments for various APS positions.
  • Project Delivery: Managing and delivering identified Organisational Design projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participating in Communities of Practice to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Analytical Excellence: The ability to assess organisational structures and recommend effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Strategic Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to convey findings and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project & Change Management: Proven experience in managing projects and implementing strategies to support smooth organisational transitions.
  • Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of workforce planning processes and contemporary organisational design methodologies.
  • Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to internal business systems.
  • Desirable Qualifications: A degree in HR, Business Administration, or Organisational Development, along with certifications in Change Management or Project Management.
  • Must be Australian Citizen.
